End of Tour

Oct.13, 2014

This photo was taken the night of David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof.
Played by New York actors and staged on an actual porch here at this beautiful
historic home in our neck of the woods.
Larry and I were so excited to attend!

The original section of this home dates to 1835 with later additions in 1920, 1940 and 1996.
The barn dates back to 1804 and has been restored into living quarters.

The back area of the house.

.

Their Barn.

Gardens by the barn.

The original log house on the property was replaced about 1800
with this plaster over stone house.
It was built in three stages on a prosperous dairy farm.

Their beautiful stone barn and horses.

This photo was taken near the end of our tour
while driving through Historic Yellow Springs Village.

The End.

  1. Goodness, now I want to see the movie/show which uses this house and will check back with your blog to compare to see what THEY did to change it.

    Thanks for the tour.

  2. If the previous comment comes thru, what I meant to add is..... "if the play ever gets televised or recorded"
