Vintage Doll

October 19, 2013

I always enjoyed these pictures!!
Doesn't she look sweet with her paper mache mask?
What a great idea!

My dearest friend Carole whom will always be with me in spirit took these pictures.
Those that knew Carole also knew how much she loved taking pictures,
Especially when she was out antiquing.
I have many that I'm grateful for,
They take me back to the times we loved and shared.

   Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Antique Geometric Rugs

October 12, 2013

I wanted to share a few antique rugs that I came across.
I felt an attraction to the first rug while looking around on Pintrest.
When I clicked on the link it took me to a dealer where I found the other rugs.
I am always thinking of ways to use up all my left over strips of wool since I have
so very many of them and if I could stick with it this first rug would do it!!!
Of course I would use prim colors.
It's huge, perfect for a long narrow hall like mine.
Maybe someday!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo Louise

Antique Butter Molds

October 10, 2013

While cleaning out my computer files I came across photos
of these wonderful antique butter molds I had saved a long time ago and forgot about.
Some of these designs would be great inspiration for designing
hooked mats or needle punch patterns, don't you think.
The Lion mold down below is attached to my inside kitchen door,
it belonged to the previous owner who was an antique dealer that specialized in
antique dolls, he was once an appraiser on Antique Road Show.

Lots of rain will be falling the next few days!
This is when I most enjoy making chicken soup, crusty bread
and working on my rugs.
But today I must travel down to visit with my little grandson.

Hope you all have a wonderful creative day!
