Crochet blankets

September 23,  2014

Oh, how I love these blankets and so want to crochet one!!
I recently bought a pattern in hopes to find the time to make one someday.
I think the colors look so beautiful together!
I thought the last blanket was different from the other two but I might be mistaken.
Has anyone ever made one?

Thanks for visiting with me!

Work in progress

September 19, 2014
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my progress on ~ Square in a Square ~ hooked rug,
designed by Maggie Bonanomi.
A fun rug to hook and great way to use up leftover wool strips!
Maggie used the snip and tear method, I'm using a #9 cut.
I love the wonky look of Maggie's rug but I have a hard time hooking that way.
In fact I will probably take out a few loops in the light row down at the point
because the wool is a bit narrower there.

The weather here in Pa has been beautiful!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo Louise

Finishing up!

September 2, 2014

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great weekend!
I spent some time finishing up my punch needle designs.
I used Rebecca's Lindquist's method
backing each piece with wool then sewing a strip of wool all around the edges.
I think the edge adds a little pizazz!
So happy they're finally finished!

I also found time to draw out a geometric design
by Maggie Bonanomi found it in her book "Comfort Zone".
I will be using up lots of left over light and dark wool strips.
Love that!!!
Will share once I get started.

Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
xoxo Louise
