Recently Finished

Feb. 4, 2015

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all having a great week
keeping warm, healthy and finding time to create.

I wanted to share a few pieces I recently finished.
The penny mat was a kit by Cee Rafuse link.
I find hand-stitching so very relaxing!
I'm now working on appliqué Christmas stockings,
also by Cee.
Her kits are wonderful!!!

My hooked rug Daisy is now hanging in our little breakfast room.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Wishing you all a great day!!!
xoxo Louise

  1. Hello Louise...your breakfast room looks wonderful with Daisy on it's wall! I love the penny rug...your stitching is lovely. I ordered a few kits from Cee, as well. One is a stocking, and with the amount of time it takes me to complete a project I had better get to it. I love sewing by hand...very Zen.
    Stay warm,
    Robyn

  6. Louise, the rug and penny rug are beautiful. I love Cee's designs. I'm working on her design Ned and Jake right now. I've admired it on pinterest for some time now, so glad she decided to make kits for her work. I too did the penny rug and two Christmas stockings and a few of the others she offered.
    I LOVE your breakfast room.

  11. Perfect spot for Daisy. I thought it was smaller but seeing the rug in the room I realize it's a nice size. I like the soft colors in the penny work.

  12. Love where daisy is hanging and your penny rug looks amazing. I finished one of Dee's stockings in time for Christmas and now working on Ned and Jake. I ordered her 500 penny circles but haven't received them yet. Isn't her wool fabulous!

  17. I just discovered Cee and I really admire her works. Will be ordering one of her penny patterns soon. I have made a runner on my own, but there is so much to learn and so little time... or maybe it is that as time goes by, I just get slower and run out of time. What ever, I have enjoyed visiting.
    Peace to all,
    Barb
