Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my progress on ~ Square in a Square ~ hooked rug,
designed by Maggie Bonanomi.
A fun rug to hook and great way to use up leftover wool strips!
Maggie used the snip and tear method, I'm using a #9 cut.
I love the wonky look of Maggie's rug but I have a hard time hooking that way.
In fact I will probably take out a few loops in the light row down at the point
because the wool is a bit narrower there.
The weather here in Pa has been beautiful!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo Louise
Great rug, wonderful colors, Louise! I, too, love that look but have trouble hooking it.

This one is on my list too. Your rug is looking awesome Louise! I love the look of Maggie's but I can't hook like that either. Can't wait to see how yours comes out. Your wools are perfect. Lori

ReplyDeleteI like this design a lot! You've chosen some great wools to hook it with too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you're hooking Maggie's design using your own style of wool strips. I think it's great that you know what you like! The colors you're using are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLike the simplicity of the design as well as your color choices.
