Back in the 80's and 90's I had an obsession with stitching reproduction samplers.
With the warmer weather coming, I'd like to start stitching again.
I love the idea of making a sampler into a bag like the one on the cover of
Sampler & Antique Needlework.
Isn't this just beautiful!!!
Doesn't it make you want to stitch one?
Have a great weekend!

Louise,
ReplyDeleteWe are kindred spirits :). I stitched many reproduction samplers back then and still have some needing more stitches. I started stitching again a couple years ago thanks to my Ott light and bifocals.
Pug hugs :)

ReplyDeletestill waiting to be stitched. Yes, these old eyes need lots of light, bifocals and a magnifier!

Hi, Louise,
ReplyDeleteI also became obsessed with reproduction samplers in the 80's. I am still obsessed with them, and still stitching. I think one time I counted over 80 of them, and I still love stitching them just as much!

I have seen Melinda's samplers in person. They are absolutely beautiful!!! And she stitches BIG ones. Her yard and house are wonderful, too.
ReplyDeleteHugs :)

Love your work! Linda
ReplyDeleteI like the shape of the bag, Louise. Great for storing knitting needles.
